If you like pasta, bechamel sauce is something you’ve probably already had the chance to try. This fine and delicate sauce from France is great for any occasion. With this excellent basic recipe, you can make it quickly and easily, and the result will always be perfect.
Basically it’s really easy to do and shouldn’t be difficult to make even for complete beginners. But, as always when it comes to the simplest recipes, details can be important. So it is necessary to make sure that the color of the basic sauce (‘roux’ in French) remains light, because this will also affect the taste of the sauce itself. Also, the addition of milk must be gradual and with constant mixing in order to obtain the necessary creamy consistency.
Bechamel Sauce – a proven recipe for pasta lovers
There is also one very important ingredient with which any bechamel sauce tastes better, and that is nutmeg. It gives a really special and warm aroma that is so hard to resist. After all, many will say that without it we cannot even talk about real bechamel, and I would definitely agree with that.
I served the bechamel sauce with tagliatelle this time, and it will be great with other cooked pasta. It is a very light and tasty lunch, and you can also add a little fried bacon to it if you wish, which will give it a nice aroma. But it is also perfect for lasagna, and it can also be used with moussaka, meat or mushrooms. For me, it is one of the best sauces that every pasta lover will enjoy.
